Oakwood School student's, staff and community throw themselves into raising funds for many and varied charities each and every year. From the Cancer Council's Daffodil Day and Biggest Morning Tea, to Red Nose Day (SIDs), RRT Day, and the Heart Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart. The most recent was an event organised by the Primary School Student Leadership Team to raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation - Crazy Glasses Day. Community members donated their old glasses to the Primary students, of which some were used to create 'crazy glasses' to be worn on the day. Hot chocolates were also sold with all proceeds going to the Foundation.

The latest charity the School donated to was the Rapid Relief Team's (RRT) 'Operation Drought Relief' in 2018 for farmers affected by drought in Australia. The SLT were given a certifiicate of appreciation for their efforts - click here to view the certificate. The RRT also shared a testimonial with us - click here to view the Willoughby Family's message to the RRT.
